Jen Leddy designs, pierce, form, forge, solder, wrap, assemble, engrave, and photograph each piece from her home studio in San Francisco, CA.
According to Jen her work consists of recycled metals including sterling silver, fine silver, 14k gold-fill, karat gold, and an array of natural, hand-selected, gemstones. It is made by hand (with the exception of most chain and some clasps) each piece is unique and therefore slight variations and beauty marks will exist from piece to piece.
Words from Jen about her work. "My work embodies delicacy, asymmetry, and balance. It is intrinsically organic. I enjoy a minimalistic approach to designing jewelry, capturing shapes and texture and enhancing their simple beauty into a sophisticated accessory. My jewelry is for wearing and enjoying daily! I aim to create pieces that are beautiful, light, and comfortable while maintaining durability and impeccable craftsmanship."
It's important to note that she follows green practices, use environmentally friendly tools and supplies whenever possible, and she recycles and reuses all of her scrap metal!
Check out Jen's website and Facebook page to see more of her work. Here are a few of her pieces that I really like.
Enjoy!
