Pregnancy ~ 33-35 Weeks

 
How far along? 35 weeks today (35 week picture coming)
Baby size: About the size of a cantaloupe. We went to the doctor for an ultrasound on Wednesday and he's weighing about 6 pounds 4 ounces. He's in the 71 percentile and they think he's going to be around 8 pounds when he's born. 
Gender: Boy
Favorite Maternity Clothes: Still sticking with "stretchy"!! I'm working a few days a week from home, so I've been very casual lately and wearing comfy clothes.
Sleep: Besides the many potty breaks, my sleep has been okay.
Missing anything: I'm missing being able to get a really good workout in. I love the feeling of completing a spin class and being really sweaty and tired. I can't wait to be able to do that again.
Best moment this week(s): My mom hosted a wonderful shower in Santa Cruz last Saturday. It was so much fun to see old friends and celebrate with family and friends this exciting time in our lives. My mom did an incredible job with all the details and decorations - I was so impressed and couldn't take enough pictures (will share in another post). One of my best friends from high school, Mo and her family, Patty and Matt came to visit and celebrate with us in Santa Cruz.  It was great being able to see them. 
Baby movement: Lots of activity, but I think it's getting a little harder for him to move because he's getting big. I've been told that the movement starts to slow down a little at this stage because there isn't as much space.
Cravings: I'm still craving yogurt and fruit...I can't get enough yogurt, maybe it's the calcium. I could eat yogurt for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - especially the Greek yogurt that's really thick. I've also been really thirsty the past few weeks - so lots of water.
Rings on or off?: Sadly I had to take my rings off last week :( - right around 33 weeks. I got really puffy in my hands and feet and they started to get uncomfortable. I miss my wedding ring, but just a few more weeks and then hopefully I can put it back on soon after baby. 
Prenatal Classes: Todd is all done with his classes we just need to do a hospital tour and I have a breastfeeding class next Tuesday at the hospital.
Anything I really don't like: PUFFY FEET! 
Nursery planning: My urban nursery is coming together nicely still working on the corner and decorations for the wall - we're close. We bought a modern bassinet that fits perfectly next to the bed. It took us a while to decide which one to get, but after a lot of research I decided on the BabyHome Dream Cot. It's very light and easy to move around the house and we'll be able to pack it up and take it on trips. I like the clean modern look as well. 

Exercise: Exercise has gotten much harder! I'm still doing a once a week personal training and upper body weights, but the lower body squats and lunges are more difficult. I've been walking and doing the elliptical at the gym - I look funny on the elliptical with a big belly, but I need to stay active.
Looking forward to: I'm looking forward to only a week left of work and then I'll be on maternity leave - YAY! :) Can't wait to relax and get ready for baby.
